The Netflix iPhone application is one of the top 100 in the Apple App Store. Also available to iPad and iPod touch users, the Netflix iPhone application gives users the ability to watch the same movies and television shows right from the iPhone. This instant streaming app for iPhone is free for users; however, it does require a Netflix subscription to utilize its features.
About the App
The application requires users to sign in to their Netflix account before downloading and using it. A basic Netflix account costs $8.95 a month and the app will run on any device using iOS 3.13 or newer. The basic account allows users to rent a single DVD at a time, which ships to the user’s home in addition to allowing users to watch as many movies and television shows they want from their computer. However, to use the iPhone application, the subscriber must subscribe to the unlimited plan after the trial period expires. Additionally, if users want to watch these movies and shows from other devices, they must subscribe to the unlimited plan as well, which is more expensive.
After logging into the Netflix account from the application, users are given a choice of what they want to do; browse based on previous searches, browse new movies or new television shows and browse “Movie’s You’ll Love.” Additionally, users can choose from various tabs to switch from the home page to genre listings, a search page, and an instant Queue page if the user’s Netflix account has one.
Movie and Video Playback
Playing videos using the Netflix iPhone application is allowed on both the 3G service and Wi-Fi network service. However, those without unlimited data plans should watch on Wi-Fi, otherwise, they would incur massive overages on their bill. However, if using the 3G network, keep in mind that the video buffers constantly as compared with Wi-Fi, which plays seamlessly; no buffering or other hiccups. Once the video starts, users are presented with a slider bar so they can fast forward, pause, rewind and stop the video.
This app allows users to pick up where they left off if they have to stop a video in the middle of playback. Additionally, if a phone call or text message is received in the middle of a video, the video will pause itself to alert the user. The user can reject or accept the call or message and the app will resume where it left off once the action is taken.
Downfalls with this App
While the Netflix application is the most popular movie viewing application available on the iOS platform, the app itself lacks a few distinct features, which should have been included since users are required to sign up for an unlimited account. For example, the app lacks some of the genres found when using Netflix at home. Additionally, users cannot synchronize their video orders from the application. For example, users cannot watch anything they have ordered at home. They must re-order the video from the app using the Watch Instantly Queue instead. Additionally, the Watch Instantly Queue cannot be re-ordered so the titles added must be added to the bottom of the list only.
Overall, the simple fact that the iOS platform can finally stream video is a feature that many users are happy to have. Not only does the Netflix application whet the appetite for this newly acquired feature, but it does it better than others do. With an average user rating of three and a half stars out of four, the Netflix app for iPhone is one of the top rated and for good reason.

If your interested in a great software that allows you to watch movies on the internet whenever you want from any computer with an internet connection then you will love this program I am using on my computer to watch movies on the internet regularly.
I am a movie junkie I love to watch movies and all the newest TV show and sporting events but for along time I had regular cable with 40 channels or so and I rarely got any good movies playing when I would check the channels. So I went on to google search engine and looked to find out how and where I could watch movies on the internet without it making me broke.
I found an awesome software that I downloaded right on to my computer and it instantly gave me access to hundreds and hundreds of movies and many shows and sporting events also for a total of 3000 channels from over 100 countries I now have more channels then anybody I know. I watch movies on the internet regularly and have now cancelled my cable because it was just sucking up money I didn’t need to spend anymore.
To watch movies on the Internet aren’t free it is a one-time payment of $49 dollars then you have the service for the rest of your life! I save over a thousand dollars a year now on cable for that $49 dollars I spent so you do the math it’s huge savings.
Just a few short minutes ago I was watching one of the newest movies to come out which most likely will not hit cable for another 5 months or more. There isn’t much more I can tell you about the program I use so I will leave it up to you to check it out for yourself.

If you want to watch movies online, you face new challenges now that the Obama regime has seized the private property of seven American and international Internet sites.
The wonders of technology have provided Internet users the ability to watch movies online, giving them the opportunity to enjoy some entertainment if they are unable to get out to the theater or if they do not have the money to buy a ticket.
At issue is the fact that people who watch movies online movie downloads often are violating American intellectual property laws that were established at the behest of Hollywood lobbyists to preserve the interests of the ultra-wealthy. These measures have support at all levels of government.
In a recent speech on the issue of full movie downloads, Vice President Joe Biden declared that movie piracy is the same as breaking a store window at Tiffany’s and removing the contents. Of course, people know that this is not true: if you removed items from a store without paying, you have cut off the ability of the store to earn money from it. If you watch movies online, the motion picture interests continue earning revenue through sales of movie tickets and media. Still, the ultra wealthy in America determine public policy, so all the movie downloads must stop.
Entertainment lobbyists provide estimates that the industry loses $26 billion per year through piracy, although they refuse independent auditors the chance to corroborate their claims. Indeed, the industry claim assumes that for every movie download they have lost the opportunity to sell a ticked or a DVD. In the real world, however, many – if not most – people who watch TV shows and movies online either would not or could not purchase the legitimate right to view them.
To underscore the speech made by the Vice President, authorities from the Obama regime confiscated the following Web sites: TVShack.net, Movies-Links.tv, Filespump.com, ZML.com, Now-Movies.com, ThePirateCity.org and PlanetMoviez.com. Visitors to these sites are greeted by a message saying:
This domain name has been seized by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Special Agent in Charge New York Office in accordance with a seizure warrant obtained by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York and issued pursuant to 18 U.S.C. 981 and 2323 by the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.As the ways to watch movies online get shut down by the federal government, those who like to watch movies online should probably reconsider their practices because they technically could be charged with a felony for violating intellectual property rights and forced to pay fines and restitution.
Operators of Web sites that allow visitors to watch movies online should probably take note of the recent government action: the government is able to seize any domain it sees fit, even if it is owned by other national interests. If you want to keep your Web site up, you might want to stop offering online movie downloads.
